NATIONAL PARK SERVICE-STYLE FRAMES AND EXHIBIT BASES
Our standard frame is slightly modified to become the NPS-style frame. This frame is then attached with drive rivets to the NPS-style exhibit bases. There are 3 standard NPS-style exhibit bases: cantilever, traditional, and upright. The NPS-style exhibit bases are available in both in-ground and surface mounts. There are also some variations of the standard bases for special use: sled base, masonry mount, or socket mount.
CANTILEVER EXHIBIT BASE
The cantilever exhibit base is the preferred NPS-style, low profile, exhibit base. Constructed of aluminum extrusion, the design is simple and unobtrusive. The frame is displayed between the two posts. This base is used with frames which are 18” to 24” high. Sign widths are 24”, 36” and 42”. Signs are easily installed by removing the top rail of the frame, inserting the sign, and replacing the top rail. Mounting height from ground level to the bottom edge of the frame is 28” to 32”.

UPRIGHT EXHIBIT BASE
The Upright Frame can be mounted in several ways. They can be mounted as a single frame with a post on each side, a line of frames, or a cluster of frames. The frames attach to a customer supplied wood posts with lag screws (provided). With an additional bracket, you can have a cluster of 3, 5 or more frames. Special configurations may require additional brackets, so talk to us about your design. You can even use these frames back-to-back for a 2-sided exhibit (requires 6” posts). Signs are easily installed by removing the top rail of the frame, inserting the sign, and replacing the top rail.
